8. Superman Back Extension:

Slowly stretch your opposite leg and arm almost parallel to the floor. Hold your balance for a few seconds without arching or sagging your back. How to extract Aloe Vera gel at home

>Choose the leaves of the plant carefully, the leaves in the middle of the plant contains most of the gel as they leaf are juicer, soft and widest there.

>Cut the leaves at an angle from the base of the plant.
Now, stand the leaves upright for 15 minutes to allow the sap to drain out. The sap is a yellow colored fluid which will ooze out the moment you cut the leaf. Allow it to drain out completely.

>Later on wash the leaves to remove the remaining sap from the leaves.

>Lay the leaves flat on cutting board and carefully cut the sides of the leaves which will contain thorns from both the sides of the leaves. Once that is done, you need to peel off the green layer of the leaf and dice the transparent gel into cubes.

>Alternatively, you can also slice the leaves into two halves lengthwise from top of bottom and scrape off the transparent gel with the help of the spoon.

Taiwan Reports First Bird Flu Case Outside China

Taiwan has reported the first H7N9 bird flu case outside of mainland China. A 53-year-old businessman is in serious condition in the hospital.
The man recently returned from the Chinese city of Suzhou, according to health officials. China already has 108 confirmed cases of the new bird flu strain since it appeared in March.
The Taiwanese man was taken to the hospital three days after he arrived in the country from Suzhou via Shanghai. The country’s Health Minister Chiu Wen-ta assured that the ill man was not in contact with any poultry and did not eat any undercooked birds while in China.
The first bird flu case outside China is likely worrying to experts, who are still trying to learn more about the deadly H7N9 strain. The World Health Organization (WHO) has already said that the new strain appears to spread more easily from birds to humans than it does from human to human contact.
WHO flu expert Dr. Keji Fukuda stated at a news conference in Beijing, where new cases were reported last week, “This is definitely one of the most lethal influenza viruses we have seen so far. When we look at influenza viruses this is an unusually dangerous virus.”
Fukuda added that the WHO team has just started its investigation into how the H7N9 virus made the jump from birds to humans. He added that, based on the evidence, “this virus is more easily transmissible from poultry to humans than H5N1.” H5N1 is the previous strain spread in 2003.

Since the H5N1 strain was discovered 10 years ago, it has killed 360 people worldwide. Most of those who died came into contact with infected birds.
WHO officials added that they are continuing to monitor the new virus strain closely to see if it could spark a global pandemic. However, there is little evidence so far that it could spread easily between humans. Of the now 103 confirmed bird flu cases, 22 people have died.

Make sure the environment is quiet. Don’t turn on those lights in the middle of the night just because they are crying. Use a dim light as well.

Babies are learning to sleep through the night at around two or three months, the same age as when colic starts to go away.  A lack of good, solid sleep is associated with migraine, so helping babies learn to sleep well could help with colic as well as being good for their overall health.

Colicky baby had higher numbers of bacteria from a group called Proteobacteria in their guts compared to babies without colic. Proteobacteria include bacteria known to produce gas, which may cause pain in infants and lead to crying.Colicky babies also had lower numbers of bacteria from other groups, called bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. The members of these groups can have anti-inflammatory effects, which may reduce gut inflammation and pain.Some babies with colic have gastric reflux problems or heartburn.
